International interdisciplinary conference Language and Communicative Aspects of Disinformation

We would like to draw your attention to the international interdisciplinary conference Language and Communicative Aspects of Disinformation, which will take place on 20–21 October 2026 at the Umelka Gallery in Bratislava.

Current technologies enable the spread of (dis)information faster than ever before. Decontextualization of content, manipulative framing of topics, and other disinformation practices have a disintegrative effect on the public. Understanding this complex phenomenon requires the perspective of multiple scientific disciplines.

The conference Language and Communication Aspects of Disinformation will bring together experts from linguistics, philosophy, political science, and other disciplines. Together, they will reflect on how disinformation operates within language and communication in the public sphere.
