To gain full access to the SNC databases, registration is required by filling in the online registration form.
Once you have filled and submitted the form, it takes a few seconds for the document titled SNC Terms of Use to be generated on your computer. These must be signed and mailed by post or delivered in person at the address:

WHY AN EASY REGISTRATION WITH E-MAIL AUTHENTICATION IS NOT ENOUGH?
The corpus databases of the Slovak National Corpus contain copyright works protected by the copyright law of the Slovak Republic. Their inclusion in corpus databases is possible only subject to a license agreement, in which the SAS Ľ. Štúr Institute of Linguistics pledges to the authors or copyright owners not to provide these texts to third parties and that only the immediate context of the searched linguistic phenomenon will be displayed to users. It is, therefore, necessary to confirm your consent with the conditions of using the corpora (especially that of the limited scope in which a specific text may be quoted), and your commitment to access the data correctly as a part of these conditions, with a handwritten, not an electronic or scanned signature. At the same time, by attaching their handwritten instead of their electronic or scanned signature, the undersigned registered user undertakes not to intentionally seek to disrupt the infrastructure of the Slovak National Corpus or unauthorized acquisition of data from corpus databases beyond the scope provided.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF REGISTRATION?
Registration provides access to all current versions of individual databases, to all specialized subcorpora, as well as to all search tool functions (frequencies, collocations, filtering, etc.).
