The Year of Ľudovít Štúr is held every ten years on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Ľudovít Štúr (October 28, 1815) since 1985. In 2025 we commemorate his 210th birth anniversary. The Ľudovít Štúr Institute of Linguistics is no expection.
“ Our aim is not only to bring us back to Ľudovít Štúr and his efforts, but also to highlight his contribution in the construction of standardized Slovak and Slovak national identity,“ says Michaela Majerčíková, the coordinator of the special website dedicated to the Year of Ľudovít Štúr.
