Our colleague Dr. phil. Jakob Heinrich Horsch, M.A. (Slovak National Corpus Department, Ľ. Štúr Institute of Linguistics, SAS) took part in the 11th International Contrastive Linguistics Conference that was held from 17 to 19 September in Prague.

Dr. Horsch gave a talk entitled Fixed in English, not (that) free in Slovak: Two cross-linguistic case studies on word order.

ICLC is hosted by the Faculty of Arts at Charles University and the Institute of Slavonic Studies of the Czech Academy of Sciences. It aims to promote fine-grained cross-linguistic research and to foster possible new areas of cross-linguistic research.
