Our colleague Dr. phil. Jakob Horsch, M.A. (Department of the Slovak National Corpus, Ľ. Štúr Institute of Linguistics, Slovak Academy of Sciences), accepted an invitation from the Slovak Linguistic Society at the Slovak Academy of Sciences, and the Institute of Slovak and Media Studies at the Faculty of Arts, University of Prešov.
Dr. Horsch represented our department at the university on March 17, 2026, with a presentation entitled Filling the cracks between dictionaries and grammars: A roadmap towards a Slovak Construct-i-con, which was a part of the projects Weight Effects in English and Slovak and Slovosled v slovenčine (prozodické, sémantické, syntaktické a pragmatické aspekty) (“Word Order in Slovak (Prosodic, Semantic, Syntactic, and Pragmatic Aspects”).
