Slovenský národný korpus pre prekladateľskú prax (“The Slovak National Corpus for Translation Practice“)—This online publication offers a wide selection of exercises for searching in bilingual, so-called parallel corpora. It is specifically tailored to the needs of translators of both literary and technical texts. The workbook includes a theoretical, historical, and methodological part that situate the use of corpora and other technologies within the context of the development and current forms of translation studies. In its main, practical section, the publication provides a clear description of possible simple and combined search methods at the lexical level (selected vocabulary items, word formation, word combinations, collocations, idioms, and terms), as well as at the morphological, orthographic, and syntactic levels. In addition to translators, the workbook can be used by a wide range of users, including linguists, translation scholars, terminologists, representatives of other academic and professional fields, media and publishing professionals, teachers, students, as well as language enthusiasts from both the professional and general public.
