Our colleague Dr. phil. Jakob Horsch, M.A. (Slovak National Corpus Department, Ľ. Štúr Institute of Linguistics, SAS) participated in the international conference 11th Biennial International Conference on the Linguistics of Contemporary English, held 3 to 5 July in Klagenfurt in Austria.
Dr. Horsch gave his talk titled More compelling, the closer you look: Corpus and experimental data on English ‚reversed‘ comparative correlatives. The study was the result of a collaboration with prof. Dr. Thomas Hoffmann (Department of English Language and Linguistics, Faculty of Languages and Literatures, Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt in Germany).
