DEVELOPER is a tool for visualizing word occurrences in the corpus on a timeline.

Upon entering a single word/lemma or two words/lemmas in the search box and selecting the desired corpus or subcorpus, occurrences of the word or words in all corpus texts will be shown, or the respective occurrences in of the three main styles clustered into individual 5-year period chunks since 1955 up to present. If you hover the mouse over a point in any time period, a numerical value of the absolute frequency of the word in texts from that period, normalized per million words, will be shown. Upon clicking on the respective point on the graph, concordances of the searched word in the corpus in the given time period will be displayed to registered users.

Search results are well suited for, e.g. analyses of synchronous dynamics of the language.

The first version of the tool for visualizing occurrences of a word or two words in the corpus on a timeline was made available July 9, 2015.

The second version of the tool for visualizing occurrences of a word or two words in the corpus on a timeline was made available on February 25, 2016.

The tool has been currently developing by the Ľ. Štúr Institute of Linguistics, Slovak Academy of Sciences, not within the project Building and Development of the Slovak National Corpus (5th Stage).
